How PotashCorp Engages Stakeholders

  • Customers and Suppliers – We survey customers annually to measure satisfaction and to understand how we compare with competitors. These surveys teach us how to better meet customer needs. Customers also have access to assigned customer service reps, sales staff and a toll-free 24/7 customer service line.
  • Investors – We engage investors using one-on-one meetings and calls, analyst presentations, quarterly conference calls, webcasts and an annual perception survey.
  • Communities – PotashCorp interacts with communities near company headquarters and facilities, participating in community advisory panels, hosting meetings, surveying community residents and producing local sustainability reports.
  • Employees – We conduct an annual employee engagement survey, and elicit feedback through employee meetings. We hold meetings on safety, environment, business prospects, compensation, benefits and other topics. Newsletters are published at the plant sites and corporate offices.
  • Critics – We engage with critics of commercial fertilizers in modern agriculture, many of whom are concerned about environmental impacts.
  • Political Engagement – We meet with elected officials and regulators, contribute to the US subsidiary's Political Action Committee (contributions limited to the United States from US employees) and work with trade associations.
  • Relations with Aboriginal Communities – The Aboriginal community is a rapidly growing sector of Saskatchewan’s population and labor force. We are building relationships with Aboriginal communities to become more accessible and a more attractive employer in those areas.
