Community Meeting Descriptions

CAP Meetings – Citizen Advisory Panel meetings are designed to bring together local companies and area residents to address community concerns.

Public Meetings – Meetings organized by the company to discuss operational issues and meetings organized by stakeholders.

Meetings with Legislators and Officials – Many of the sites had meetings with legislators and officials, often related to permitting and regulatory issues. Public affairs staff at Aurora and White Springs met regularly with state and local officials.

Informal Meetings with Officials – Meetings with legislators and municipal officials which are not required and are more informal in nature. For example, Augusta meets with the Augusta-Richmond County emergency planning committee six times a year to discuss emergency preparedness.
