The Importance of Social Sustainability
A strong commitment to society helps PotashCorp build trust among its stakeholders. Participation and dialogue with those it affects and those who affect it cement long-term relationships that enhance the company's reputation.
Strong social performance helps attract and retain a productive workforce, build strong, efficient operations and earn the respect and goodwill of internal and external stakeholders.
Social sustainability is a PotashCorp priority. Relationships with its key stakeholders – the communities where it does business, its investors, customers, employees and suppliers – are important, not just economically, but because they help guide the company's values and principles and make it accountable.
