PotashCorp has 5,003 employees in five countries. More than half of this workforce is in the United States (51 percent), followed by Canada (39 percent), Trinidad (8 percent) and Brazil (2 percent). In 2007, three employees worked at APC in Jordan.
In addition, 791 temporary and contract employees provided services to the company in 2007, primarily at its US nitrogen operations.
PotashCorp's workforce increased by 132 positions in 2007. Most of this increase took place in the potash division, especially at Lanigan, Allan and Rocanville, due to production expansion initiatives at those sites. Significant net hiring also took place at Aurora.
