Operations

Cincinnati produces phosphate products for food and technical applications, with total capacity of 150,000 tons per year.

Significant Achievements

The plant installed and started up a new process to make a new product, mono-potassium phosphate (MKP), which represents a promising new business opportunity.

Community Relations

The Cincinnati facility co-sponsors a Community Advisory Panel which met monthly in 2006. In addition to providing a forum to address past soil and groundwater contamination issues (created by previous companies on the site) the meetings allow the company to be proactive in addressing community concerns and assists neighbors in understanding its operations.

Community Contributions

Cash contributions to local organizations in 2006 totaled $2,180. Donations went to community emergency response groups, Crosby Elementary School, Harrison High School, Crosby Elementary School PTA and the Hospice of Cincinnati.

The site is a business partner with the nearby Crosby Elementary and Harrison High Schools.

The value of in-kind contributions to local organizations is estimated at $1,200. Beneficiaries included Crosby Elementary School, community emergency response groups and the local Community Advisory Panel.

Local Procurement

The value of all goods, materials and services purchased locally in 2006 (excluding raw materials and energy) was $962,277 which represented 80 percent of total procurement.
