Training

In 2006, each PotashCorp employee received an average of 65 hours of training. The top five training categories are:

  • Training to improve job skills (43 percent of training hours provided);
  • Apprenticeship training (11 percent);
  • Orientation training (10 percent);
  • Crisis and emergency response training (10 percent); and
  • Safety training (5 percent).

Lifelong Learning

Employee training or assistance provided by PotashCorp to upgrade skills includes internal training courses, funding support for external training, and tuition assistance for college-level degrees.
