A strong commitment to society helps PotashCorp build trust among its stakeholders. Participation and dialogue with those it affects and those who affect it cement long-term relationships that enhance the company's reputation.

Strong social performance helps attract and retain a productive workforce, build strong, efficient operations and earn the respect and goodwill of internal and external stakeholders.

Social sustainability is a PotashCorp priority. Relationships with its key stakeholders - the communities where it does business, its investors, customers, employees and suppliers - are important, not just economically, but because they help guide the company's values and principles and make it accountable.

Many of the policies governing PotashCorp's social performance are embedded in its Core Values and Code of Conduct (Code). Other social policy commitments are found in its SHE policy, Employee Handbooks, Code of Customer Commitment and Respect in the Workplace policy.
