Community Investment at PotashCorp

At PotashCorp, we believe in building communities. We support initiatives that enhance the quality of life in the regions where we operate and reflect the goals and values of our company. We strive to develop relationships that create value for PotashCorp and our community partners.

Our Community Investment program focuses on three pillars, which were identified considering the program’s community and business objectives.

  • Food Solutions — Initiatives that will empower communities and at-risk groups to become more food secure.
  • Community Building — Public spaces and community events that enrich lives and provide memorable experiences.
  • Education and Training — Initiatives that help build and engage our future workforce and enhance our supply chain with a focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs and entrepreneurship training.

We also look at all funding applications through two lenses:

  • Geographic — We strive to build relationships with communities primarily in our operating locales.
  • Diversity — We emphasize investments that focus on Aboriginal people, and women in leadership and non-traditional roles.

Applying for Community Investment Funding

Our Community Investment Committee selects applications that best meet our Community Investment objectives. The Committee evaluates all proposals using consistent, pre-determined decision-making criteria, with larger investments having to meet more stringent criteria than smaller projects. This helps ensure that PotashCorp’s most significant investments strongly align with the goals and objectives of the Community Investment Program, while providing flexibility for smaller, grassroots initiatives.

If your organization/initiative meets our eligibility requirements and you feel it’s a good fit for us, we want to hear from you.
