PotashCorp One of World's Most Respected Companies – Survey
Published: October 2008
PotashCorp is one of the most respected companies in world, according to results of a Barron's survey that compiles an annual list exclusively from the opinions of professional investors.

The survey sought investors' opinions on the 100 largest companies in the world, based on stock-market capitalization as of June 30, as determined by Dow Jones Indexes.

Survey participants, who ranged from proprietors of small investment firms to chief investment officers overseeing hundreds of billions of dollars in investments, were asked to select one of four statements for each company: Highly Respect, Respect, Respect Somewhat and Don't Respect. Point values were established for each response, with Highly Respect given the heaviest weighting, and higher rankings going to companies with more Highly Respect votes.

An accompanying set of questions that sought to determine which corporate attributes were most respected found strong management and business strategy key to respectability, followed by ethics and corporate edge.

"We're honored by the results of this survey," said PotashCorp President and CEO Bill Doyle. "It shows that we're living by our core values, and that adds value for our stakeholders."
