SASKATOON, Sk PRNewswire Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (PotashCorp) today announced that its third-quarter and year-end results would be lower than previously expected. The Company now believes fully- diluted earnings in third-quarter 2001 will be in the range of $0.20 per share, just over half its previous guidance of $0.35 per share; its new full year estimate is $2.50 per share reduced from a range of $3.00 to $3.25.

SASKATOON, SK /PRNewswire/ – Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. today reported that Canpotex Limited has concluded a 1.2 million tonne contract for Canadian-sourced potash shipments to China's CNAMPGC for delivery through August 2001, at the same price as last year.

Access to more markets - that's the ultimate benefit of new marketing agreements between PotashCorp's export marketing agencies and key international producers.On Jan. 4, 2001, PotashCorp announced the finalization of an agreement between PhosChem, the export marketing agency for North America phosphate producers, and Apatit Fertilizer S. A., a major international supplier of diammonium phosphate (DAP) and granular monoammonium phosphate (GMAP). The agreement provides PhosChem with sales, marketing and administrative responsibilities for Apatit products in Asian, African and Latin American markets.Apatit is the leading exporter of phosphate fertilizers from the former Soviet Union and the largest GMAP exporter in the world. It controls the exports of three production facilities in Russia as well as from tolling arrangements with several other production units in Russia, Ukraine and Belorussia.A similar agreement was announced on Jan. 5, 2001, when Canpotex, the export sales agency for PotashCorp and other Saskatchewan potash producers, reached a deal to market products for JSC Uralkali (Uralkali) in certain export markets outside North America and Europe.Of the roughly 28 million tonnes of potash traded each year, Uralkali sells over 2 million tonnes of potash annually to offshore markets, while Canpotex sells more than 5 million tonnes. PotashCorp supplies Canpotex with 56 percent of its potash product."We've promised our investors and our customers that we'll find innovative ways to expand our business," said William J. (PCS) stated today that Canpotex Limited (Canpotex) has finalized its previously announced marketing joint venture for certain offshore markets with Russian potash producer, JSC Uralkali (Uralkali). Canpotex, the export sales agency for Saskatchewan potash producers, will market Uralkali potash outside North America and Europe effective January 1, 2001. Of the roughly 28 million tonnes of potash traded each year, Uralkali sells over 2 million tonnes of potash annually to offshore markets, while Canpotex sells more than 5 million tonnes. PCS supplies Canpotex with 56 percent of its potash product.
