Aurora, North Carolina – Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (PotashCorp) today announced a $250,000 donation to the Beaufort County United Way for the PotashCorp/BCUW Hurricane Irene Fund. The fund will be used to support relief efforts in and around Aurora, North Carolina following the hurricane that struck the American East Coast last weekend. PotashCorp has approximately 1,100 employees at its Aurora phosphate facility located in Beaufort County.

Sussex, New Brunswick – Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (PotashCorp) today announced a $50,000 donation toward the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment for a new lab to be housed at Saint John Regional Hospital. Stewart Brown, General Manager of PotashCorp’s New Brunswick operations, congratulated Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation and campaign volunteers on the success of the $680,000 fundraising campaign and explained why PotashCorp got involved.

The Saskatchewan Mine Rescue Competition held in Saskatoon on Saturday June 4, 2011 sees teams from mining operations across the province grapple in a variety of events aimed at measuring their skill and proficiency in tackling emergencies. PCS Potash President Garth Moore congratulated the PotashCorp teams, coaches and support staff and thanked them for the effort and commitment they invest in safety, PotashCorp's No. 1 priority.
