Saskatoon, Saskatchewan — PotashCorp has won five awards, topped by the prestigious 2009 Overall Award of Excellence for Corporate Reporting, from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA), the organization announced December 8 at its annual Corporate Reporting Awards ceremony in Toronto.
The top honor recognizes PotashCorp's entire corporate reporting package, elements of which earned the company the following awards in addition to the overall award:

In their commentary, competition judges said, "PotashCorp's continued high standard of financial reporting clearly integrates its vision and goals with performance expectations. The company's website contains everything an investor could want and its sustainability report is exemplary in the degree to which it quantifies performance."
Kevin Dancey, FCA, President and CEO of CICA said PotashCorp clearly caught the attention of the judges, adding, "Congratulations to the company for such a strong showing."
The CICA Corporate Reporting Awards are open to the top 50 companies per industry sector listed on the TSX as of March 31, 2009 with a market cap of over $200 million and incorporated in Canada. The judging groups include the CICA, the Toronto CFA Society, Canadian Investor Relations Institute, the International Institute for Sustainable Development and the Institute of Corporate Directors.
