Saskatoon, Saskatchewan — Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (PotashCorp) today stated that first-quarter earnings are estimated to be in the range of $1.30-$1.50, well above the initial guidance of $0.70-$1.00 per share1 provided on January 28, 2010. The upward revision reflects a sharp rebound in potash demand that is expected to drive a record quarter for North American sales volumes and strong offshore shipments, as well as higher-than-expected margins in nitrogen and phosphate. Any revisions to annual guidance will be addressed in our first-quarter news release issued on April 29, 2010.

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (PotashCorp) announced today that it is donating US $300,000 to the Canadian Red Cross for its Chile Earthquake Fund. The Red Cross is responding following a powerful 8.8 magnitude earthquake that struck off the coast of Chile on February 27, leaving as many as two million people injured and homeless. The Chilean Red Cross deployed emergency response teams and volunteers within hours of the earthquake, distributing food, hygiene items and blankets to survivors. The Canadian Red Cross, working with its Red Cross partners, is supporting efforts to bring aid where it is needed most."We appreciate this generous contribution by PotashCorp,” said Conrad Sauvé, Secretary General and CEO of the Canadian Red Cross. “Our disaster response is made possible by donors and PotashCorp’s kind gift will allow us to continue to provide urgent aid to the people affected by this devastating earthquake.”

Canpotex has advised its customers of new pricing to take effect immediately on all new sales. The new prices announced are $415 CFR for Standard grade and $430 CFR for granular grade potash. This new pricing is to remain in effect until further notice.

Canpotex has concluded a new second-quarter supply contract to India covering shipments through June 2010 at a contract price of US $370.00/MT CFR. This new contract, totaling approximately 600,000 MT, is with a consortium of buyers which includes Coromandel International Limited and Tata Chemicals Limited.
