Phosphorus

Plants need phosphorus for strong root development and growth. It also contributes to blooming and fruiting. They're like carbohydrates for humans.

Phosphorus is mined from phosphate rock, which comes from the fossilized remains of old sea creatures. It produces liquid fertilizers, solid fertilizers, animal feed supplements and industrials (purified phosphoric acid used in food and beverage products, metal treatment, detergents and electronics).

Common phosphorus fertilizers are triple super phosphate (TSP 0-46-0), diammonium phosphate (DAP 18-46-0), monoammonium phosphate (MAP 11-50-0) and ammonium polyphosphate (APP (NH4)3HP2O7).
