PotashCorp's Northbrook, Illinois corporate commercial center has recently announced a $1.5 million donation to Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook in support of its capital campaign. In honor of the donation, the new Youth Services location will be housed on the "PotashCorp Campus."
"We are thrilled to partner with Youth Services," said Bill Doyle, president and CEO of PotashCorp. "We share common goals and values, which are to enrich life and sustain our community. Like Youth Services, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, happy, and hopeful."
Youth Services' capital campaign kicked off in 2005 to provide a new home for the more than 35 programs the agency provides. Serving in excess of 3,500 individuals annually, Youth Services will soon have a new home with expanded programs to meet the growing needs of area youth and families.
"We are extremely grateful to PotashCorp for its generosity and commitment to the Youth Services' mission," said Nancy Bloom, executive director of Youth Services. "It's unusual for an international corporation to take such an active interest in a grassroots agency of our size. This contribution clearly demonstrates the power of shared goals, values and vision. Our partnership with PotashCorp supports the belief that all children deserve a safe haven where they can meet life's challenges head on. This investment in our community is invaluable!"
The PotashCorp Campus groundbreaking will take place April 22, 2008. Youth Services is located at 3100 W. Lake Ave., in Glenview, Illinois. For more information call (847) 724-2620.
