Operations, Products and Annual Capacity
The site mines phosphate ore and refines it into phosphate rock. Sulfuric acid is
produced on-site from purchased sulfur and is mixed with the phosphate to produce
phosphoric acid. PCS Phosphate Aurora has an annual capacity of 6.6 million tons of phosphate
rock, 1.325 million P2O5 tons of phosphoric acid and 0.175 million tons of phosphate feed.
