Aluminum Cleaning
Our purified phosphoric acid-based cleaner 342AC is intended for use as a second stage cleaner and normally precedes caustic etch and anodize or bright dip and anodize.
The use of 342AC will leave the aluminum parts slightly "frosted" and the surface "activated". This frosting, unlike that produced by a caustic etch, will not reduce the smoothing action of the bright dip and will, in fact, allow a more uniform brightening.
This acid cleaner will also remove some heat and water marks which are normally carried through conventional alkaline or neutral cleaners. Although designed as a second stage cleaner, it may also be used alone if the soil load is light.
