Phosbrite – PB172 (standard) (Aurora)
Phosbrite – PB174LC (low copper, low sulfuric acid) (Aurora)
PotashCorp's DAB and Phosbrite products are blended phosphoric acid-based solutions that set the standard for chemically polishing aluminum.

These solutions can be custom formulated to include any combination of the following additives: copper metallic brightener, fume suppressant, or etch inhibitor. The addition of a fume suppressant significantly lowers the emission of the reddish-brown NOx fumes from the bright dip bath, which can significantly extend the life of the fume scrubber. The metallic brightener increases the total and specular reflectance for any given set of bright dip conditions.

Phosbrite and DAB bright dip products are similar, differing mainly in the specific gravity at which their baths operate. However, with the addition of sulfuric acid, Phosbrite offers several benefits, including:
better removal of fine scratches
increased specular reflectance on the aluminum parts
greater tolerance for soil contamination without "pits" on the aluminum surface
wider bath operating parameters
elimination of transfer etch
decreased bath fuming.
