PotashCorp the world's largest fertilizer company, producing potash, phosphate and nitrogen for plant minerals, animal feed supplements and industrial uses, has a career opportunity for a qualified applicant at PCS Potash – Cory, located 8 km west of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Mine General Superintendent is accountable for the planning and implementation of operational plans and ensuring overall optimization of underground mine safety and production. The successful candidate will collaborate with others to identify opportunities to improve operations and the overall achievement of site and corporate objectives.
The successful candidate will have a related engineering degree with ten+ years of progressive underground mining experience in a leadership capacity including development, production and construction responsibilities. A sound understanding of mining regulations and a commitment to safety systems are a must. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and decisive communicator with a demonstrated commitment to people.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
