At PotashCorp we pride ourselved in making safety 'Priority One.' We are continuously striving to lower our incident rates through the establishment of annual health and safety performance goals within all levels of the organization. We believe that our continued success depends on our employees maintaining a positive attitude towards health and safety through development of an internal responsibility model. This model requires every employee to be responsible not only for their own safety but for that of their fellow workers. We are proud of our accomplishments at PotashCorp as we continue to rank at the top of our industry year after year.
Environment:
As part of PotashCorp's policy to maintain or create wildlife habitat where opportunities exist, about 1,400 hectares (3,500 acres) of aspen parklands owned by the Rocanville mine have been preserved in a natural condition. These lands form part of a network of areas established to preserve representatives of native ecosystems in Saskatchewan. In addition, PotashCorp has an agreement to have Ducks Unlimited develop a Rocanville-owned wetland as a waterfowl marsh.
