At PotashCorp we pride ourselved in making safety 'Priority One.' We are continuously striving to lower our incident rates through the establishment of annual health and safety performance goals within all levels of the organization. We believe that our continued success depends on our employees maintaining a positive attitude towards health and safety through development of an internal responsibility model. This model requires every employee to be responsible not only for their own safety but for that of their fellow workers. We are proud of our accomplishments at PotashCorp as we continue to rank at the top of our industry year after year.

Environment:
The unique closed loop mining and milling method employed by New Brunswick division makes it the only potash operation in the world that returns all its wastes to the mine on a continuous basis. Its sewage treatment system uses the treated water to create waterfowl habitat. New Brunswick was a top winner in Canada's National Energy Efficiency Awards for a two-year project to recover and re-use heat from its crystallizers.
