2006

Canadian National Safe Handling Award This award requires the company have no non-accidental releases (NAR)*. PotashCorp has won four corporate awards in the past seven years and the Geismar plant won a facility award in 2001.

Kansas City Southern Lines Hazardous Accidental Release Prevention (HARP) Award This award requires the company have no NARs.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe Product Stewardship Award This award requires 500 or more shipments without a NAR. PotashCorp has won this award for seven consecutive years.

Union Pacific Pinnacle Award This award requires 500 or more shipments without a NAR. PotashCorp has won this award in six of the last seven years.

Norfolk Southern Thoroughbred Safety Award (Corporate) This award requires 500 or more shipments without a NAR. In 2006, PotashCorp won this award for the first time since 1997.

Phillips Environmental Awareness and Knowledge (PEAK) Award for the company's conscious use of environmentally friendly and sustainable lighting practices

*a non-accidental release (NAR) is any release that is not a railroad mishandling event.
