Barbara Jane Irwin
Since 2000, Jane Irwin has been PotashCorp's Senior Vice President, Administration, responsible for developing and implementing programs related to employee recruitment and development, benefits and compensation at the company's operations in Canada, the United States and Trinidad. She also oversees its risk, property and workers' compensation insurance, travel program, corporate aviation department and corporate donations.
Ms. Irwin has more than 25 years of experience in human resources. As a principal in Hewitt Associates in Chicago, she worked with a wide variety of clients, managing benefits, compensation and global employee ownership projects. Earlier, she practiced law with a Chicago firm specializing in employee benefits and executive compensation.
She earned a bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Social Science from the Honors College at Michigan State University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, and a law degree at the University of Michigan. Ms. Irwin serves on the board of the Chicago Horticulture Society and is Senior Advisor to the Executives Club of Chicago New Leaders Program.
